Self and Unit Evaluation III

Self and Unit Evaluation III

REGARDING YOUR OWN PERFORMANCE

1. What were the three aspects of the assignments I've submitted that I am most proud of?

I am proud of my lab project for this unit. It was a good, fun experience and eye opening as far as just how amazing the human body is. My ethical paper because it really makes you think about how things really are. The fact I was actually able to get though the assignment.

2. What two aspects of my submitted assignments do I believe could have used some improvement?

I could have been more thorough on all of my assignments with more time. I think with this subject matter I also could have looked at more resources..

3. What do I believe my overall grade should be for this unit?

All in all, I would hope to average an B.

4. How could I perform better in the next unit?

I have put my daughter in preschool which will allow me to spend more time to catch up

REGARDING THE UNIT

  1. At what moment during this unit did you feel most engaged with the course?

I felt engaged during my lab project.

2. At what moment unit did you feel most distanced from the course?

I would say it was during the reading. I work better as I apply what I’ve read.

  1. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took during this unit that find most affirming and helpful?

It was nice to get little notes just as reminders of where we should be.

  1. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took during this unit did you find most puzzling or confusing?

There was nothing that puzzled or confused me.

  1. What about this unit surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to the course, something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)

Just how truly amazing the human body is!

Eric, your work on this unit is outstanding. Glad to see you back on board. For the compendium reviews, I thought you could have given a bit more than the outline or list…filling in some details and perhaps some more images. I liked your model limb, the online labs are very well done and I enjoyed your essay. Keep up the good work,
LF

By the way, the self/unit eval for this unit actually asked you to post an anonymous course eval for me on the open forum and also a link to the Yavapai College online course eval page. If you wouldn't mind, these things are very helpful to me and you could just go back to Unit Three and open up the link on the self/course eval to see how to do these....it should only take a few minutes. thanks, LF

Eric, nice work on unit 4. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of your ethics issue and beautiful species list. It’s too bad you had all the computer problems since you show a great talent for academic work and love of biology. I would have loved to see your complete work for all the units, but with this you’ve reached your goal! Good luck with all you do,
LF
